This house has been lovingly restored, with original features kept where possible, and with improvements made to make the kitchen diner open and double height to make cooking and eating an extremely pleasurable experience with panoramic views over the olive trees and orchard. The roof is brand new and fully insulated and the doors and windows are new and double glazed. The living quarters comprise of 3 bedrooms, 1 living room, and a large open plan kitchen and dining room. There is a large and well insulated attic, accessed by a new staircase, with room for spare beds and storage.
There is one bathroom by the varanda. Below There is a large traditional wine press and olive harvesting room that has been preserved and painted. There's the possibility to use some basement storage area. The minimum rental period is 3 months, utilities are not included (require a 400€ deposit).
Although there are 2 large electric radiators available, and one small fan heater, the tenants are welcome to bring their own appliances for heating.
There's exterior parking space and garage within the property boundaries. There's a garden and usage of other landlord spaces can be discussed.
The neighbours are extremely friendly and it's a peaceful neighbourhood on the famous Caminho de Santiago de Compostela and caminho de Fatima walkers route. The house can be accessed from the front or behind through the Roman roads. There are Roman ruins on the property and there are fig, apple, walnut, tangerine, orange, cherry, almond and olive trees growing on the ample land. There is a lovely breeze throughout the summer. It's a peaceful oasis.
